WGA - Windows Genuine Advantage

    • Open IE and click Tools, and then Internet Options.

    • Click the Security tab, and then Custom Level and check your ActiveX controls.

    • Check your Firewall settings.

    • Make sure that the Date and Time settings for the computer are correct.

    • Try to Validate Windows XP again.

  10. 0x80080205 - Use administrative credentials to continue with validation (in other words you need to be an Administrator or have Administrator privileges).

  11. 0x80080206 - Internet settings do not allow the genuine ActiveX control to run properly, or you may not be the system administrator of the machine or an ActiveX control is disabled.

    • Start IE, click Tools, then Internet Options.

    • Click the Security tab, and then Custom Level and check your ActiveX controls.

    • Try to Validate Windows XP again.

  12. 0x80080207 = Expired Validation Code

    • Run the validation check again.

    • Enter the correct validation code.

    • Try to Validate Windows XP again.

  13. 0x80080209 = Can’t Run Active X
    Check your antivirus/firewall program so that ActiveX controls are enabled.
    Try to Validate Windows XP again.

  14. 0x80080211 = User has chosen to exit the validation process
    In other words, you have exited the validation process. Restart the validation process later.

  15. 0x80080219 = Windows Not Activated
    Windows must be activated in order to Validate Windows.

  16. 0x80080220 = Invalid Product Key

  17. 0x80080222 = The product key is probably generated by a program that produces unauthorized product keys.
